As bold as they come is Black Macopa, the medium fimbriated dahlia, feature almost black to dark red petals that lighten as she opens, making for a very moody bloom.
Growing on a large upright plant, with good length stems, she makes for a good cut but will need support.
The true name of 'Black Macopa' is 'Kenora MACOP-B' and was supposedly named by the hybridiser Gordan Leroux (USA) after the chemotherapy regimen 'MACOP-B' saved his life.
